Plan your tripA Jasper and Banff golf trip is bucket-list golf inside the Canadian Rockies national parks, where the courses are framed by glacial lakes, forest and snow-capped peaks. The marquee round is Jasper Park Lodge, a Stanley Thompson classic, with the Kananaskis courses near Banff rounding out the trip. Fairways arranges the tee times, so you choose the courses and dates and we handle the booking.
The courses we arrange in the parks
Golf inside the Canadian Rockies national parks is the bucket-list end of an Alberta trip. The two courses we line up are Jasper Park Lodge and, near Banff, Kananaskis.

Jasper Park Lodge
The Fairmont describes it as "this 18-hole, Stanley Thompson-designed treasure." Set beside Lac Beauvert and routed through the forest below the peaks, it is one of the most celebrated mountain courses in the world and the centrepiece of a Jasper trip.

Kananaskis Country, near Banff
A short drive from Banff, the Mount Kidd and Mount Lorette courses give you 36 holes of championship mountain golf in Kananaskis Country, an easy pairing with a Banff stay.
Planning a national-park golf trip
A couple of practical notes. You will need a Parks Canada pass to drive in the national parks, and the distances are real: Jasper is about three and a half hours north of Banff, so most trips treat them as two separate bases rather than a single day.
The season is short and demand is high, so the earlier you share your dates, the better the chance of locking in prime tee times.

Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, and the two Kananaskis Country courses, Mount Kidd and Mount Lorette, near Banff.

About three and a half hours by road. Most trips treat them as two separate bases rather than trying to do both in one day.
Do I need a park pass?
Yes. A Parks Canada pass is required to drive in the national parks, on top of your green fees.
