Book a Chambers Bay Golf Trip
The public links near Tacoma that hosted the 2015 U.S. Open. We arrange the tee time, you play where the pros did.
Plan your tripChambers Bay is a public links course in University Place, Washington, on the shores of Puget Sound, and it is the course that hosted the 2015 U.S. Open. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. on a reclaimed gravel quarry, it plays like a genuine British links, firm, treeless and windswept, which makes it almost unique in North America. Fairways arranges your tee time, so you can play the same course the pros did.
The course that hosted the 2015 U.S. Open
Chambers Bay opened in 2007 on a former gravel quarry above Puget Sound, and within a decade it hosted the biggest event in American golf. The USGA brought "the first U.S. Open in the Pacific Northwest" here in 2015, won by Jordan Spieth. It is a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design, and a true public course, so you can play the same holes the pros did.
What makes Chambers Bay different
This is real links golf, which is rare in North America. The ground is firm and the ball runs, the fairways and greens flow into one another, and tall fescue lines the holes. There are no trees to speak of, save one famous lone fir near the 15th that has become the course's signature. The greens are large and rolling, and the wind off the Sound is always part of the test.
Playing Chambers Bay
Chambers Bay sits in University Place, just outside Tacoma, about an hour and a half south of the Canadian border. It is built as a walking course, and taking a caddie is the classic way to play it. Allow time to walk it, because the elevation changes are significant and the views over Puget Sound are worth slowing down for.
Tee times at a course like this are limited and in demand, so the earlier you share your dates, the better. We handle the booking and the timing for you.
